This is simply a synopsis of what happened in the preceding Story Bases
Be advised SB1-5 contain a lot of sophomoric humor and mostly inside jokes. They are available for viewing in the Appendices.
STORY BASE 1-4: AN EXPERIMENT IN INSANITY
STORY BASE 1: THE MIND&#*% BEGINS
Kirk and Company (ST:TOS) get confronted by MANBAT and his side-kick BINROB, the Mangoat. Mangoat convinces the crew to go help defend the Mangoat homeworld which has come under assault by the massive Corridor Armada, commanded by someone known only as Mr. Brownstone.
The defense fails, but the Enterprise saves many of the Mangoat people by keeping them in stasis inside the transporter. The Enterprise is then called to defend the Federation (only ship in the sector...blah..blah...blah) against a large unknown fleet (The Corridor Armada).
Mr. Brownstone, the leader of the Corridor, has the bad habit of killing his own troops when he gets pissed, and the wily Kirk succeeds in antagonizing him to the point that he destroys his own fleet. Thus the Federation and all Trekdom as we know it is saved. Oh yeah....Batman, The Kinda, and Guns and Roses also show up somewhere in there....(don't ask).
STORY BASE 2: THE NEXT SET OF MESSAGES
Moe Eskie, envoy from the 8th dimension, walks into a small town of Libertyville and stalks the elusive Mr. Brownstone, who is frequenting his favorite nightclub and doing his trademark dance. Moe detonates a bomb that is so powerful that the resulting crater is in later years referred to as the American ocean.
Meanwhile, the Corridor Armada (now under command of Axl Rose) joins with a rag-tag fleet to defend against an even larger fleet from the 8th Dimension, known only as the OCTOM. Somehow the Dwarves from the Hobbit, Frodo and Co. and Gandalf join the Enterprise crew.
On Earth, the collosal explosion gives the Apes the chance they were waiting for and they rise and take over. (Let's hear it for Ursal!) Traveling back in time from one of many possible futures, SKYNET, takes up the human cause and unleashes massive TERMINATOR hell on the Apes, who are allied to the OCTOM. SKNET opens ape hunting season on Earth and the Predators join the fray. In retaliation, the OCTOM release millions of OCTOM HYBRID SLAVESOLDIERStm onto the Earth. House Steiner-Davion joins in to help the "polluted cesspool of a planet."
NCC-1701D comes back in time to help NCC-1701A against the OCTOM fleet "the size of a Solar System".
End result: Kirk & Co. travel back in time with the crew of Sulaco to 1988 to try to alter some events that set the whole thing in motion. They think they succeed.
STORY BASE 3: ENDINGS AND BEGINNINGS
Kirk and Co. return to their own time only to find out they screwed something up and now the Sleestack rules the planet and StarFleet. Humans are extinct. The Enterprise beats feet chased by a Sleestack Armada.
The Enterprise runs into the SDF-3 who is also trying to get back to Earth. Both crews decide they better just write off the Earth and find a new place to live. The plan works beautifully.
Then the Invid arrive. And the Zykorrians....then the Kolton....you get the idea. Bad news all around.
We find out that Gandalf the White is somehow travelling through time to stop the plans of the King-Baddie....Mauron who, through his Master plotting, intends to rule the entire Multiverse. Turns out the OCTOM and the Corridor are in bed with him...and the whole OCTOM fleet versus the Corridor was just a ruse to get the good guys to waste all their best ships.
Oh yeah, Gandalf's alter-ego...Gandalf the Grey...is running around time screwing everything up.
STORY BASE 4: THE FINAL CONTINUUM
Let me tell you about SB 4. No there is too much...I'll sum up.
Basically, we find out that every character in the story has been a pawn of the evil and sinister Greys. They are running Space-Time bubble experiments on everyone to find out about the nature of the Multiverse. Mauron finds out he's the second best Master Plotter in the Multiverse, gets really pissed, and launches an assault on the Grey homeworlds so big that the resulting conflict becomes known as the GIGANTIC MEGA F*** HUGE OMNI BATTLE FOR THE CONTINUUM.
Everyone in the Sci-Fi / Fantasy Universe shows up to this Brawl. 'Nuff said.
Also, at the end, Hyuj {genetically engineered Swede whose massive intellect impedes his speech patterns} give Kirk and Co. a box, with which Kirk will know what to do when the time comes.
Everyone whales on the Greys. End Result. Greys Extinct....or are they?
STORY BASE 5: THE UNDISCOVERED MESSAGES
These were just some messages to fill in the gaps in some of the story lines in SB 1-4. Also further adventures of Wahoo (The NinjaRabbitWarriorBarbarian...kind of like Usagi Yojimbo)....Don't Ask.
In fact, SB5 messages are posted somewhere on this site. Neat Easter egg and you don't even have to look that hard. {The Wahoo messages have been moved though...he's getting his own section soon.}
Story Base 6-9 were written in a more serious tone almost 10 years after SB 1-5. Only cursory references are made to the previous Story Bases.

STORY BASE 7: NO GUTS, NO GLORY
Posted on this site. Half Battletech. House Davion vs. Kurita in a no holds barred, closed steel cage, battle royale on Arture IV! But it is the Story Base and anything (and I mean anything) can happen. So what happens when Admiral Thrawn and half the Imperial Fleet show up? Monster mega-battle around Twycross!
STORY BASE 8: THE FRAYED ENDS OF SANITY
Posted on this site. Picks up more or less where SB:6 & 7 leave off. The stars are coming right. Can Kirk and company stop the Great Old Ones? Jury's still out on this one.
STORY BASE 9: THE SHADOWS OUT OF TIME
What happens when the different authors of a round-robin story can't agree on the ending? They each write one!! Oh the humanity!
